If you intend to teach in a Victorian primary, secondary or special education school, you need to apply for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching. 

To apply, you are required to complete an online application for teacher registration and submit it to the Institute electronically.

If you are qualified, meet the English language requirements and are able to provide evidence that you have sufficient teaching experience as a qualified teacher, you may be able to demonstrate at the time of application that you meet the standards of professional practice required for full registration in Victoria.

Your registration will be finalised only when you provide all required documents. You are not eligible to teach unless you have been granted Provisional or Full Registration or Permission to Teach.
