Returning to teaching from non-practising registration

Once teachers have returned to teaching from non-practising registration, they have 12 months to provide the Institute with evidence that they have completed at least 10 days of teaching and 20 hours of professional development activities to continue their registration. At least 10 hours of the professional development activities should provide access to research and knowledge sourced from outside the immediate school or work environment.  They can include any professional development undertaken in the 12 months prior to returning from non-practising status.
